On Friday, March 21, 2025, a final workshop for the DFG-funded WINDegration project will take place from 09:00 to 16:30 at the Ruhr University Bochum. The workshop is aimed at researchers, industry representatives and interested parties in the field of wind energy and grid-building control for the converter-dominated grid of the future.
Participation in the workshop (incl. catering) is free of charge, registration is required and is now open.
The aim of the WINDegration project is to develop a holistic approach to wind farm and turbine control for active grid support by a wind farm. Here, aerodynamic, mechanical and electrical couplings are taken into account and grid requirements of the future grid such as grid building control structure are included. In order to meet these requirements, power reserves must be maintained to the global power optimum despite the aerodynamic interaction of the turbines. The methods also take into account the effect of the yaw misalignment of the rotor, as it is used in the form of active wake control for energy yield optimization on real wind energy converters.
